Financial Support of Poor and Marginalized Families
Emergency small financial help to poor and marginalized families can be especially important during times of crisis or unexpected hardship. These families often live in precarious economic situations and may not have savings or other resources to fall back on during emergencies. Many of them are shelterless and prone to weather conditions. Without this type of support, they may be unable to afford basic necessities such as food and housing, or may be forced to take on high-interest debt or commit crimes.
During crises, such as a pandemics, natural disasters or financial crisis, these families may be disproportionately impacted, having fewer resources and less stability to fall back on. Emergency financial support can help mitigate the financial hardships these families are facing by providing them with a temporary lifeline to help them make it through the crisis.
Moreover, this type of support can also help to prevent the crisis from worsening and creating an even more dire situation for the poor and marginalized families. The support can help them to maintain their livelihood and keep them from spiraling into deeper poverty which would be even harder to escape. Sindh Skills Development Program (SSDP) receives such help calls since many years and on emergencies basis SSDP have been supporting to these families during their dire needs through its donors.
